Beachside Retreat Tours

Escorted nature tours, by Mercedes 4 wheel drive vehicle, showcasing Tasmania’s magnificent coastal scenery and pristine rain forests, are offered only to resident guests at Beachside Retreat. Tours are designed for visitors of all levels of fitness, who wish to relax, take in the sights and be driven by a knowledgeable guide, who has lived in the area for many years. Short walks along forested tracks and frequent photographic opportunities are available. Bird watching and wildlife are a speciality, with field guides and binoculars provided.

Places visited in the far north west include drives into the Tarkine wilderness, Dip Falls and the Big Tree, the Arthur River, Edge of the World, Rocky Cape National Park, Julius River Reserve and Lake Chisholm.

Tarkine Rainforest Drive

A 4 hour tour to the Tarkine, Arthur River, Sumac Lookout, Julius River Reserve and Lake Chisholm. Cost: $180 per person including refreshments.

Suitable footwear, hat and a light jacket are recommended.
A minimum number of 2 passengers applies for all tours.

Coastal and Rainforest Drive

The 4 hour tour includes Rocky Cape National Park, Dip Falls and the Big Tree. Cost: $180 per person including refreshments.

Longer tours can be arranged.
