Arthur River Holiday Units

Arthur River Holiday UnitsA warm welcome awaits you at the Arthur River Holiday Units, situated on the banks of the Arthur River, a one hour drive from Smithton, on Tasmania’s rugged west coast.

Sited adjacent to the bridge, in Gardiner Street, south of the river, these modest cabins with absolute river frontage, offer easy access for fishing and boating. The five, one and two bedroom cabins have fully equipped kitchens, satellite TV and radio, electric heating or log fires. All linen is provided and continental breakfast provisions are available. Wood and gas barbecues, situated in landscaped gardens, are available for guest use. There are also parking spaces for boat trailers and a small number of powered sites for caravans and campervans, with an adjacent amenity block. The complex is often frequented by organized walking tours and groups, as a welcoming oasis, after a long trek through the often cold and wet Tarkine wilderness.

The Arthur River shop and river cruise booking office, are both located on the premises. For a truly unforgettable wilderness experience, join your hosts, Rob and Kaye, on board their Passengers on AR Reflections Cruisevessel ‘MV Reflections’, for a cruise on the beautiful Arthur River.

This is an ideal spot for a break, before venturing onto the Western Explorer to experience the Tarkine, or after a days fishing or cruise. Relax and enjoy peaceful, picturesque surroundings, deserted beaches and brilliant sunsets. Visit the Edge of the World or throw a pebble into the Southern Ocean. Note - fuel and mobile telephone reception are not available in this region.
