Eagles Nest Retreat

Eagles Nest Retreat is a romantic getaway, halfway between Sheffield and Lake Barrington, twenty-five minutes south of Devonport and a one hour drive from Launceston. The retreat is nestled in idyllic countryside close to Mount Roland, which provides a spectacular backdrop to the property.

There are three luxury, contemporary-style accommodation options to choose from. Nest I is a two storey, open plan design with two bedrooms/bathrooms, several spas, fully equipped kitchen and every conceivable luxury feature. Nest II has four, exotic double bedrooms, decorated to different international themes, inspired by African, Eastern and South American influences. The open plan design uses glass and contours to give an almost transparent overall appearance. Use the upstairs reading loft for a special quiet time, laze in a courtyard hammock, enjoy a lakeside spa or roast marshmallows in the outside fire-pit. The concept of recently opened Nest 111, is based on a Colombian farmhouse or finca and is designed to offer a homely family experience for up to six guests. Rustic, yet modern, with high ceilings and a large fireplace as the centrepiece, the two bedrooms are separated by a deck. Nest 111 will shortly incorporate farm animals and a vegetable garden, to add to the family experience.

Each nest is luxuriously appointed to offer the ultimate in pampering, including open fireplaces, private courtyards, views of the stars from the outside spas and the luxury of in-house massage and meals.
Whether it be a short break with friends, a romantic honeymoon, or a well-earned family getaway, Eagles Nest Retreat offers a contemporary hideaway for the discerning visitor. Experience feeding the ring-tailed possums at night, view the wedge-tailed eagles overhead, discover the resident platypus or spend time exploring nearby Cradle Mountain.
