Lemonthyme Lodge
Lemonthyme Lodge is a remote, wilderness retreat nestled in the heart of the Cradle Mountain Valley, about a one hour drive from Devonport, two hours from Launceston and 35 minutes from Cradle Mountain.
The centre piece of the retreat is a huge log cabin, the largest in the southern hemisphere, nestled in a forest clearing, about eight kilometres from the main highway and accessed by a winding, well maintained gravel road.
Surrounded by temperate rainforest are tree top and spa cabins, luxury wilderness suites and family cabins. Accommodation varies from budget, with the original accommodation still available in the main lodge, to luxury spa suites with superb views of the surrounding forest canopy.
Meals are available in the on-site restaurant, which offers an excellent choice of Tasmanian produce. After a superb dinner, relax and absorb the ambience of the imposing Ponderosa Pine lodge. Enjoy the company of fellow guests by the huge roaring log fire and share your experiences. Watch the feeding of the native wildlife by floodlight, as dozens of pademelons patiently await their evening meal.
Following a good nights sleep and hearty breakfast, take a mountain bike ride or follow one of the walking trails through the rainforest. The lodge is central to several self-guided bushwalks, including the tracks to the majestic Bridle Veil and Champagne Waterfalls.
